Random #1

I tried to take a picture of a Sheffield University Sign on a roundabout, waiting for the perfect moment (the traffic is awful in this city), and you can enjoy my charming photography skills. Blurry means kind of artistic, right ?

Okay so, there is this square in Sheffield (with a great pastry shop by the way), with a mix of modern and old buildings. The city is full of them, even the university building, some may be decades or hundred(s) years old, and some are just brand new. That's cute.

A paper cow in a closed score. Even paper farm animals are nice in this country. And a KFC specialty we don't have in France, ricebox ! Can't wait to try it.

I don't know what's up with this country. First, as a milk lover, this liquid labeled "milk" cannot possibly come from a cow. At least, not from a regular one. It tastes like water and powdered "milk" (emphasizing the quotation marks). Second, QUIZZES. England has some kind of passion for quizzes, every bar has at least one QuizzNight, they are everywhere.

Art. Art everywhere. Graffities, a lot. And the gardens, ohmygod. They're all so british ! I swear I'm convinced every english owner has to pass a gardening test when they buy a house, the grass is unbelivably emerald green and soft and radiant and cut to the perfection. The trees and bushes are so geometrical and perfect. Art, I'm telling you.

Student Union ! Sheffield University's SU (the student association) is ranked first in the country, has an entire supermodern building with 5 floors, with several bars, cafés, clubs, supermarkets, study rooms, computers, a ticket box to buy tickets for parties, a job agency, an agency to find houses, etc. Makes me want to believe my french university was just a bad dream ..
